A critic wrote that the post modern Congress Centrum Bremen, with its many playful details, seems like a children wonder world.
Congress Bremen with its location in the centre of the city, is envied by many: the venue, which includes the Congress Centrum Bremen as well as the MESSE BREMEN & ÖVB-Arena, is located in close proximity to the airport, motorways, and the Central train station. The Bürgerpark, a green area, is just 4 minutes by feet and invites you for a short break in nature. The city centre is within 15 minutes walking distance. Bremen is the city of short distances!
Congress Bremen is aware of its joint responsibility in protecting the environment and climate. A contribution is, for example, the installation of solar power systems on the roofs of Halls 4 to 7. They produce 750,000-kilowatt-hours of electricity each year, which corresponds to about 25 percent of the venue’s energy requirements. Green electricity is used for the remaining sum.
Measures to implement the protection and hygiene concept
Congress Bremen places the highest priority on the comprehensive protection of the health of all visitors, exhibitors and employees and is in close contact with the Bremen Senate for the implementation of events.
The CCB and Messe Bremen use a special ventilation system that converts fresh air (specifically, around 30m³ per hour per person).
The protection concept includes the following measures
- a maximum number of visitors per exhibition hall must be observed
- the minimum aisle width is 4 meters between the exhibition stands
- a minimum distance of 1.5 meters between the seats in the lecture rooms
- Inputs and outputs must be separated from each other
- Reception areas such as registration and checkroom counters must be equipped with a plexiglass protection
- a high density of disinfectant dispensers must be available throughout the congress center
- regular cleaning and disinfection of contact surfaces must be carried out
- Persons with symptoms of illness will not be admitted
